Dr. William Heisler

Dr. William Heisler

Dr. William Heisler is Professor and Director of the MSHRM graduate program. He earned his Ph.D. and MBA from Syracuse University. Dr. Heisler taught at the University of Notre Dame and served as director of the Executive MBA program at Wake Forest University before holding management and executive positions in HRM with a major defense contractor. He is the founder and editor of the Journal of Human Resources Education and a U.S. member of an ISO technical committee developing international human resource standards. His research interests include all areas of HR, with an emphasis on compensation and staffing.
Dr. John Haymore

Dr. John Haymore

Dr. John Haymore, Assistant Professor, earned his Ph.D. in human resource development from the University of Texas at Tyler. He also has an MBA degree and holds PHR, SHRM-CP, OSHA-30 and Lean SixSigma certifications. He has worked as head of HR and safety in many industries, including engineering, manufacturing and health care. Dr. Haymore was recognized as HR Professional of the Year 2022 by the HR Association of Palm Beach County, Florida. Dr. Haymore鈥檚 research interests include strategic HRM, workplace violence and employee coping.
Dr. David Hoover

Dr. David Hoover

Dr. David Hoover, Associate Professor, earned his Ph.D. in business from Virginia Tech, specializing in human resource management, labor relations and industrial/organizational psychology. He has worked in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, including holding positions at GM, the YMCA and the Department of Labor. Dr. Hoover served as HR director at Virginia Transformer Corp. and has owned several businesses. He has also taught at universities in Austria, Bosnia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Russia, and traveled in 34 countries. His teaching interests are labor relations and international HRM.
Dr. Laura Walker

Dr. Laura Walker

Dr. Laura Walker, Assistant Professor, earned a Ph.D. in management from the University of North Texas and bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees in parks, recreation and tourism management from Clemson University. Before joining 澳门特码开奖记录, she was a lecturer at the University of North Texas and held professional roles in recreation and special events planning and programming. Dr. Walker teaches courses in talent development, compensation and benefits, and workforce planning and staffing. Her research interests include turnover/retention, organizational justice and favoritism.
